Information for Caregivers

Nearly 22 million American workers are caregivers for their parents or loved ones. On the average, caregivers who work outside the home spend more hours each week caring for an older adult family member than they spend at their job. And a study conducted by the National Alliance for Caregiving and the AARP found that more than half of those who provide major care for parents experience stress and strain. Studies show that experiencing stress is not just unpleasant; it can negatively affect your health, well-being and ability to provide care.

The good news is that help is out there with Lutheran Home Care & Hospice! Depending on the situation and the needs of your loved one, we can help, whether it be through home health care, in-home support, home health telemonitoring, and/or hospice care.
